Answer in brief

IAPP currently lists 90 CIPP/E multiple-choice questions in 2.5 hours. Read the IAPP CIPP/E certification page.

Apply this decision

Before booking, compare your coverage checklist with every blueprint domain and reserve extra review time for the least familiar area. Read the source context.

Common mistake

Treating the question count as a fixed allocation for every topic rather than using the published range to plan coverage.

How difficult is CIPP/E?

CIPP/E requires broad GDPR familiarity, disciplined timing and scenario reasoning. It cannot predict an individual result.

Practical example

Compare territorial scope, legal basis, transparency and a transfer mechanism in one scenario rather than memorising isolated article names.

Common mistake

Treating a gap in GDPR understanding as only a timing problem, then practicing faster without rebuilding the underlying legal analysis.
